Password Requirements

A valid password must contain the following: 

  • At least 8 characters total
  • At least 1 upper case letter
  • At least 1 lower case letter
  • At least 1 number
  • At least 1 special character, but limited to these:  # ? ! @ $ ^ & * - %

Resetting a Forgotten Password (cloud only)

  1. On the login window page, click on "Forgot Password?"
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Check your inbox for an email with the subject "Alcatraz.ai Admin Portal - Reset password."

Changing a Password (cloud only)

If you are already logged into the Admin Portal and wish to change your password, do the following:

If you are an Account Administrator or Account Manager, you can send a "Password Reset" link to a user by going to their "Edit User" page in the Admin Portal. 

  1. To change your own password in the Admin Portal, navigate to the upper right and click on your name.
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Click on "Modify User"
  4. Click on "Send Password Reset Link"
  5. Click "Submit"
  6. Check your inbox for an email with the subject "Alcatraz.ai Admin Portal - Reset password."

Changing a Password (on-prem only)

If you are an Account Administrator or Account Manager, you can change the password of a user by going to their "Edit User" page under "Permissions >> Users" in the Admin Portal. 

  1. To change your own password in the Admin Portal, navigate to the upper right and click on your name.
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Click on "Modify User"
  4. Enter your "Current Password", new "Password", and "Confirm Password"
  5. Click "Submit"
