Respect ACS During Enrollment

Overview:

The "Respect ACS During Enrollment" feature allows administrators to require authorization feedback from the Access Control System (ACS) before a user can be enrolled on a Rock device. This setting applies to both manual and auto-enrollment workflows and adds an extra layer of control to ensure that only ACS-approved individuals can be enrolled.

The following behavior will be observed based on the Rock's mode:

• Manual Enrollment - A user swipes their badge at the tethered card reader. If the Rock does not receive a "Green LED" response from the ACS panel, the enrollment process will be terminated.
• Auto-Enrollment - A user swipes their badge at the tethered card reader. If the Rock does not receive a "Green LED" response from the ACS panel, no profile creation events will occur, and the person will not be able to enroll.

How to Enable Respect ACS During Enrollment

1. Log into the Admin Portal

• Navigate to the Alcatraz AI Admin Portal and log in with administrator credentials.

2. Go to Device Management

• Navigate to Device Management and select Devices.
• Click on the Name of the Rock to access its information page.
  

3. Modify Device Parameters

• Click on Settings -> Modify
• In the Device Configuration section, locate the setting labeled "Respect ACS during Enrollment."
• Toggle the switch to enable this feature.
