Safe cleaning for Alcatraz AI Rock or Rock X

Before You Start

• Power down the device if possible before cleaning.
• Always start with a dry, gentle microfiber cloth, especially when cleaning optics.
• Never spray liquids directly onto the device.

Step 1: Remove Loose Dust and Debris

Use a lens blower bulb or short bursts of compressed air (hold the can upright).

Purpose:
Removes larger dust particles without making physical contact with the surface, reducing the risk of scratches.

Step 2: Clean the Front Glass / Sensor Window

The front glass covering the optical sensor and camera is the most critical area to clean, as buildup here can impact performance.

Gently wipe the glass using a clean microfiber cloth.

Step 3: Remove Smudges or Oils

If fingerprints or oily residue are present:

• Lightly mist 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) onto the microfiber cloth
  (do not apply liquid directly to the device)
• Gently wipe the affected area
• Follow with a second dry microfiber pass to remove any streaks

Note:
IPA evaporates quickly and is safe for most electronics when used properly.

Step 4: Clean Edges and Crevices

• Use a dry cotton swab or soft brush to clear dust from edges and small gaps
• Do not apply liquids near seams or openings

Important:
Moisture in these areas can seep into internal electronics.

Step 5: After Cleaning

• Allow any residual moisture to fully evaporate
• Once dry, the device can be powered back on
